The school cafe, Cafe Tomato, provides an optional lunch service for students at all levels. All meals are prepared on site daily by professional chefs using organic or near-organic produce as far as possible. The menu changes every two or three months depending on the term and is well balanced with a different type of main meal each day of the week. These include beef, pork, vegetarian, chicken and seafood. Side dishes such as salad, rice, fresh fruit, soup and bread are also provided depending on the type of meal. Drinks are not included; however, filtered water is available at all levels. The cafe is unable to cater for children with allergies or special dietary requirements.
Orders for school lunch are accepted on a term basis only. Payment is also required by the term in advance and is non-refundable. School lunch may be ordered for every day of the week or for certain days only. Orders may not be changed or cancelled during term time. Changes or cancellations must be made by submitting the school lunch form to the office by the end of the term for the following term. If the school does not receive notification of any changes or cancellations, school lunch will be invoiced at the end of each term for the following term and lunches will continue to be prepared throughout the term.
Prices* per meal (including consumption tax) are as follows:
Kindergarten size: 493 yen
Elementary size: 598 yen
Secondary size: 651 yen
*Prices subject to change. Please contact us for current information.
For elementary and secondary students who do not wish to order the regular school lunch service, a selection of daily meals is also available from the school cafe. These should be ordered before 11:00 a.m. and then picked up from the cafe at lunch time. Parents/guardians and other visitors are also welcome to purchase daily meals from the cafe. A variety of drinks and snacks are also available for both elementary and secondary students to purchase at lunch time or after school, however, due to various negative effects that consumption of certain foods may cause on students' ability to focus and concentrate during class, elementary students are only permitted to purchase snacks such as French fries, ice creams, shaved ice and fried chicken after school and only if their parent/guardian is present.
Located beside the reception counter in the main entrance, K. Shop sells stationery such as pencils, notepads, binders etc., as well as a variety of original "K" goods such as straps, mugs, and also a selection of refreshments. It offers a variety of seasonal food and drink items such as soft-serve ice cream, shaved ice and Milo, as well as drinks for parents and visitors including cappuccino, cafe latte and more. Payment is accepted in cash or by Edy card.
The school reception counter coordinates all sales of the school uniform. Orders may be placed using the Uniform Order Form and payment may be made in cash or by Edy card. Many uniform items are stocked at reception, however, items not in stock may take several weeks to arrive.
