KIST holds an Explanation Day in October each year for families of children from pre-Kindergarten to Grade 11 interested in enrolling for the following school year. The day is divided into two sessions: English in the morning and Japanese in the afternoon. Administration and teaching staff are available to answer questions regarding admissions procedures, the school curriculum and general features of the school. Tours of the school facilities are also conducted. Attendance is limited and reservations must be made in advance on line or by telephone.

The next Explanation Day will be held in October 2013. Online reservations will open in early August 2013.
