Getting to KIST
KIST is conveniently located along Kiyosubashi-dori on the western edge of Koto-ku, approximately three kilometers to the east of Tokyo Station. Close to the intersection of Kiyosubashi-dori (Route 474) and Kiyosumi-dori (Route 463), KIST is most easily accessible by subway from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station.

How to get to KIST
Train
KIST is less than a minute’s walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station (Toei Oedo Line and Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line) or approximately six minutes from Morishita Station (Toei Shinjuku Line).
- From Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station:
To reach KIST from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, take exit B1. When you reach the top of the second escalator, walk to the left along Kiyosubashi-dori past the Comfort Hotel and FamilyMart. Turn left into the lane beside the Comfort Hotel. You will see the school entrance a little further ahead on the right-hand side.
- From Morishita Station:
To reach KIST from Morishita Station on foot, take exit A6. From the exit, walk to the left for approximately six minutes along Kiyosumi-dori. When you reach the intersection of Kiyosumi-dori and Kiyosubashi-dori, turn left and walk ahead past the entrance to Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, the Comfort Hotel and FamilyMart. Turn left again into the lane beside the Comfort Hotel. You will see the school entrance a little further ahead on the right-hand side. If you prefer not to walk, it is also possible to change to the Toei Oedo Line at Morishita Station and travel one stop to Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station.
Bus
KIST is accessible by Toei bus along the following routes:
- No. 26 which runs between Kasai and Akihabara Stations.
- No. 33 which runs between Kameido and Tsukishima Stations.
For both routes, get off at the “Kiyosumi Shirakawa Ekimae” stop.

Car
If coming to KIST by car, please use either Kiyosubashi-dori (running east to west) or Kiyosumi-dori (running north to south). From the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway, take the No. 9 exit for Fukagawa. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach KIST from Ginza and about 30 minutes from Hiroo by car.
Please note that car parking space is not available at KIST, so please use public transport if possible. Children may be dropped off at the main gate on Kiyosubashi-dori; however, parking in or in front of the main school entrance or on the streets surrounding the school campus for any length of time is strictly prohibited. Please assist us in maintaining a good relationship with our neighbors by using a public car park. The closest public car park to the school is located at the rear of the Comfort Hotel.
Taxi
If coming to KIST by taxi, please ask the driver to go to Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, Exit B1 (Kiyosumi Shirakawa Ekimae, B1 deguchi). KIST is less than a minute’s walk from here. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach KIST from Tokyo Station by taxi.
Bicycle
Bicycle parking is available on the school grounds to the right of the main entrance security gate.
How to enter KIST
To enter the KIST campus, all visitors must pass through a security gate. If you are a member of our current school community, you must scan your ID card at the gate before entering and again as you leave, even if the gate is already open. If you are not a member of our school community, please use the intercom to give your name and the purpose of your visit. After the gate lock is released, follow the arrows to the reception area on the first floor of the main school building. All visitors must register at reception upon arrival.
