In August, we welcomed several new friends to the P1 class, making for a lively start to the new school year. It has now been about a month since the newcomers joined us, and they are gradually getting used to life at KIPS. At first, some of them shed tears when saying goodbye to their parents, but now, as soon as the entrance door closes, they quickly change gears and start to look for their favorite toys with big smiles on their faces.
Meanwhile, the children continuing from last year have begun P1 full of energy, having grown noticeably since before the summer vacation. They are now able to do more things, and have started to show more interest in observing their friends or in approaching or playing closer to them. While verbal communication is still challenging, and there are times when they may become upset or cry if a toy is taken from them, they are learning to express their feelings through facial expressions and gestures, and are gradually developing empathy and social skills.
We sincerely thank all the parents/guardians for your warm support over the past month in helping the children adjust to life at KIPS by ensuring their good health and by supporting the establishment of daily routines. We will continue to place importance on each child’s individual pace by providing warm support for their growth and learning through a safe and nurturing environment.
