From November, a new friend joined us in P0/P1. Several weeks have passed since the gradual entry period ended, and it seems that he is getting used to the daily rhythm at KIPS little by little. Now he can crawl energetically around the room, smiling cheerfully. The children in P1 are also very curious about our new friend. We have observed them performing various kind gestures such as gently handing him toys to play with or peering at him intently and smiling happily when their eyes meet.
On October 23, we held a Halloween party at KIPS. Prior to the party, we made special Halloween bags and organized various other tasks in preparation for the big day. When the day finally arrived, everyone came dressed in adorable costumes such as black cats, Pokémon characters, tigers and more! Many of the children still found it a bit difficult to say Trick or treat!”, so they held out both hands in a please ” gesture to receive their sweets, which was very cute to see. They looked so happy as they filled the shoulder bags they had made themselves with candy, stickers and bubble solution. We all took a stroll around the neighborhood, enjoyed games in the park, and back in the classroom, we played PokePoke-aa-Pumpkin ” in which the children poked through tissue paper to look for hidden stickers. It was a day filled with smiles. We also had a dance time, and although some children looked a bit tired from the full schedule, everyone participated enthusiastically until the very end.
The P0/P1 class has become even more lively with the addition of our new friend, and we are expecting another new member to join us in January next year. We are very excited to see how the class will continue to grow and develop.
