Spanning the top two floors of the Main Building, our spacious gymnasium features a fully equipped, full-size basketball court. An exclusive observation deck on the top level allows spectators to cheer on teams during inter-school matches. It is a dynamic space where students engage in daily physical education and exciting sports events.

The Student Lounge is a vibrant community space where students gather after school to relax, chat with friends, and study together. During lunch break, it serves as an exclusive lounge for our Grade 11 and 12 DP (Diploma Programme) students, providing a dedicated environment for our senior students to focus and recharge.

Boasting an extensive collection of both English and Japanese books, the Secondary Library strongly supports students' research and reading activities. Fully equipped with quiet individual study spaces as well as collaborative group work areas, it serves as an adaptable and comfortable hub for academic exploration.

Our Secondary Science facilities feature five specialized laboratories: two dedicated to Chemistry, and one each for Physics, Biology, and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS). Every lab is fully equipped with the state-of-the-art experimental apparatus required for the rigorous IB Diploma Programme (DP) science courses

Our versatile, mirror-lined Multi-Purpose Rooms include MPR2 (the size of four classrooms) and MPR4 (the size of two classrooms). These highly adaptable spaces are used for a wide range of activities, from serving as official examination venues and staff training rooms to hosting after-school ballet and hip-hop dance lessons.

We have two fully soundproofed music practice rooms equipped with professional band gear, including microphones, amplifiers, and drum sets. Used for sectional practice during music classes, these studios can also be reserved by students during lunch breaks or after school, providing an ideal environment to nurture their musical talents and passions. Additionally, these soundproofed rooms serve as examination venues for courses that include oral assessments, such as English.

At KIST, comprehensive university guidance counseling begins in Grade 9. The office is staffed by a highly experienced university guidance counselor who serves as the cornerstone of our school's outstanding university acceptance record. Both students and parents are welcome to book individual meetings with the counselor to receive personalized guidance and dedicated support for their future educational pathways.

Acting as the school's dedicated counseling center, the Student Care Office provides a safe, welcoming space for students to discuss personal concerns, peer conflicts, or any other challenges they may face. Staffed by specially trained Care Coordinators, the office delivers compassionate support to ensure that every student feels heard, valued, and emotionally secure throughout their school life.

Featuring a small artificial hill at its center, our ECE Playground is designed to spark imagination and diverse play. As children discover that laying down leaves helps them slide faster, they naturally engage in exploratory play. This enriching environment strongly supports our commitment to nurturing creative and critical thinking skills from the very beginning of the K1 stage.

Located conveniently in front of the Student Lounge, the NK Café is a lively campus kitchen. In addition to serving pre-ordered school lunches, the cafe sells bento boxes and popular light snacks like fried chicken and french fries. It is a bustling oasis where students gather for delicious meals and conversation during their lunch breaks.

The K-Shop is our popular campus kiosk, easily accessible to students during lunchtime and after school. It offers a wide variety of snacks and refreshments, including soft drinks, soft serve ice cream, churros, onigiri (rice balls), and fried chicken. It is the perfect spot for students to take a quick, refreshing break between studies and club activities.
