IGCSEInternational General Certificate of Secondary Education

provides a framework of academic challenge that encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, and become critical and reflective thinkers

KIST Grade 9-10 IGCSE program follows Pearson Edexcel, a globally recognized qualification designed for international learners. The IGCSE promotes learner-centered, inquiry-based approaches and is the world’s most popular curriculum for 14-16-year-olds.

  1. Courses in the IGCSE program are studied for two years in Grade 9–10
  2. Externally assessed exams are written at the end of the course study.
  3. Each course studied earns an IGCSE Qualification.

IGCSE qualifications are highly valued by schools, colleges and employers. These are equivalent to what UK students will graduate with at the end of their compulsory secondary education.

The qualification mainly involves studying the theory of a subject, together with some investigative work, while some subjects also involve practical work. They are usually studied full-time at school taking two years to complete.

An IGCSE qualification is earned after achieving a high grade on these externally assessed exams.

Each course typically has two exam papers which culminate at the end of the two-year study.

With IGCSEs, students are assessed mainly on written exams and elements you complete throughout the course, such as:

Projects, fieldwork, artwork, experiments, and/or investigations
