Future Horizons Scholarship Program Applications

- bringing dreams to life -

How to apply:
The Future Horizons Scholarship Program opens doors for students in Grades 10-12 who would not otherwise be able to access quality international education. Through the FHSP, KIST aims to support students in attaining their dreams and in making the world a better place for all.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 entry into the FHSP. While candidates can apply to enter from Grade 10 or 11, preference will be given to students able to enter the program from Grade 10.

To apply, complete the procedure below:

Complete the online initial interest form accessible here.

Upon screening of the initial interest form, we will contact prospective candidates with further application documentation that will need to be completed. As the required documentation needs to be submitted as soon as possible after the notification, the following guidelines as to what is needed are provided to support you in preparing the documents ahead of time.

Required documents:

You can click on the above links to access the documents. Please type directly into the document or print them off and complete by hand using dark ink.

Upon receiving application materials further screening will commence. Shortlisted candidates are contacted and asked to prepare and submit a 5-minute presentation in a digital format of their choice (a PowerPoint presentation, a video, etc.). The presentation is used by the FHSP Selection Committee in making final decisions of acceptance and hence should thereby address the following:

  • How the candidate’s personal context qualifies you for the FHSP
  • Personal qualities that will contribute to the candidate’s success in the IB Diploma Program
  • The candidate’s record of academic excellence
  • The candidate’s commitment to making the world a better place
  • The candidate’s ability to contribute towards KIST attaining the school mission
  • The candidate’s goals
  • The candidate’s leadership experience.
