Program overview

KIST’s Future Horizons Scholarship Program supports children who have demonstrated excellence in academics, exceptional moral character and the potential to make extraordinary contributions to our global society in the future as the next generation of leaders, but who would not normally have the opportunity to receive a quality international education due to financial need. Future Horizons scholarships are awarded based on criteria, including demonstrated financial need, and support awardees with up to 100% tuition coverage as well as items necessary for learning (e.g. textbooks, laptop computer) and boarding arrangements depending on financial need and living situation. Students living either in Japan or abroad who are eligible to enter Grades 10 or 11 may apply.

The scholarships are funded through the provision of a discount on school fees by KIST as well as monetary donations  from companies, organizations and individuals.
 

Applying for a scholarship

Number of scholarships available
The number of scholarship students will be determined according to available openings and the amount of donations  received, with a maximum of four spaces available annually.

Timeline for application

Application period: To be announced

(Applications will close upon reaching a fixed number)

Screening result: Notification of the result of the application will take up to one month.

Enrollment: From August
