Friends of KIST is an organization for parents/guardians of enrolled students. All families are members of Friends of KIST while they have children enrolled at the school. A membership fee is invoiced at the beginning of each school year together with the autumn term tuition fees.

The role of Friends of KIST is to support students and the school through volunteer work and financial support. Specifically, its objectives are to:

• Raise funds to improve the learning environment.
• Organize activities to support students and the school.
• Organize activities to promote communication among members of the school community.
• Welcome and support families who are new to the school community.

All activities organized by Friends of KIST run in accordance with the school vision, mission and educational philosophy. Various sub-committees are established throughout the year. Some of these include regular committees such as those to support the School Festival and Family Day, and others to support community social events or fundraising projects for specific purposes. Other committees may be established on a needs basis.
